There is too much at stake to not rig this vote, besides, they have the technology to make it happen. There is no democracy in the United States of Aggression.

Cuppa; there is no reason to suspect vote rigging, the election hasn’t happened yet. You are correct, there’s a lot at stake here, and some hanky-panky is inevitable, but keep in mind, in the real world there are exit polls and people watching at every step. The machines have to reflect to some extent the popular vote so even rigging will only occur at the margins. Otherwise it is just a sham election (see G.W.Bush for more on that). If it ever becomes obvious that rigging occurs it casts further doubt on the already questionable electoral system in the U.S. They can’t afford that over this one issue in one State in a midterm election, this is really just small potatoes with an ‘e’ to the politicos, but they will be watching closely.
Furthermore, if we’re already howling about fraud before the election, why did we even try it? I mean, if we don’t believe in the referendum and voting process’ integrity, why did we put this referendum before the people to begin with? Wouldn’t it seem a little pointless and cynical?
No, with this election “we pays our money and we takes our chances”. We should all agree to abide by the results, whatever they are and take it like adults if we lose. We can do it again. With the truth on our side we can and will have the energy to try again, and again if necessary. As the dinosaurs die off, and the lies get older and more strained, it will only get easier for us and harder for them. They are alredy dead, they just don’t have the damn sense to lie down.
So, no more about election rigging, ‘kay?

This is a damn good idea Vicky and would likely make a much needed impression.

This is the biggest thing that has kept weed prohibition down–the fact that so many famous people smoke regularly and so many normal, everyday successful middle and upper-middle class people smoke. if they don’t smoke on the reg, the are fairly frequent.

All of us middle-aged and older tokers know and are successful, normal people. yet we hide it and allow minority kids to take the lion’s share of the busts.

I keep wondering when some serious civic disobedience will start again in the US. It’s beeen nearly 40 years since there has been any of consequence in the US.

We are such pacivists here in the US today. Many of the rights we have today came about through years and years of protests. So many have total forgotten that there was tons of rioting and violence in the first half of the century–particularly with regard to labor unrest and union formations. During the Depression, there were huge amounts of unrest and violence around the country.

Don’t get me wrong–I’m not advocating violence. the point I’m trying to make, is that for the most part, and in general adults of means and reputation suffer little for being caught in the legal system. Everyone that matters–legal system, police, society–pooh-poohs, but basically looks the other way; such that it is basically a white collar crime–with some exceptions, obviously.

It would be nice if everyone that had influence–your entertainers, authors, politicians, doctors, lawyers, professors and teachers that smoked–just said fuck and I do it and JUST DO IT! Do it on the reg and in public.

It would be a giant, constant “coming out” for those that derive benefit, happiness or whatever from a magnificent and useful gift of nature that should be celebrated instead of demonized.

Pacivists or Apathetic? All the celebrities toking together still won’t be seen on censored corporate media. If the “Press” is truly “Free” it should print the Ganja truth. Since it doesn’t, it shouldn’t get protection from the First Amendment. Besides it’s “Public Airwaves” and tax subsidized cable so we should have the same access as NBCBSABC etc…

The Multiple Consequences of Public Policy By Lawrence A. Gooberman
The Multiple Consequences of Operation Intercept

The findings given in this chapter have been consolidated from the responses to each of the major areas of inquiry as set forth in the interview guide. Excerpts from taped interviews with drug users and drug sellers, as well as drug abuse rehabilitation workers and journalists who closely observed the events of the summer of 1969 in the New York City area, will be presented. The findings are divided into three sections. The first section will focus on the availability of marihuana during the Operation Intercept era. The second section will be concerned with the range of behavioral reactions to the marihuana shortage. The third section will explore attitudinal reactions to the situation and to the underlying public policy. continued…

(CNN) – During an interview on “The Situation Room,” comedian Bill Maher revealed to Wolf Blitzer that actor Zach Galifianakis did not really smoke marijuana on his show.

“If it was a real joint, Wolf, I would have smoked it…I think it was cloves or something,” Maher said, adding “Zach’s crazy, he’s not that crazy.”
