… because you need a new one and I’m still in wifi hell until tomorrow night.

It’s really too hard for me to do any kind of real posts on my iPhone.

There have been some great conversations in comments. Remember to keep it civil.

Once again Willie is percecuted for his indugence. Arresting Willie is like using dynamite to catch fish. Heads up to any up and comming LEOs out there. Pulling Willie Nelson over is NOT the way to score points back at the station. Just let that bus pass on by…

  2. Bruce says:

Way to go Willie. Keep up the good fight. Without the likes of you there would be little inspiration. Imagine a world of BORG automatons. Pffffft eeeew gross.

  3. purple kush says:

Willie is alleged to have smoked weed on the roof of the white house when Jimmy Carter was the figurehead. Unless that is urban legend some alphabet soup agency of petty tyrants is probably still mad and holding a grudge.

  5. malcolm kyle says:

George Soros, the billionaire British agent has decided to target Australian children in his war for drugs. To further his plans he has sent Ethan Nadelmann his legalization point man there to implement his plans for bringing about changes in Australian drug laws which is a precedent for legalizing dope in the US.

Concerned parents in Australia who want to do all they can to prevent their children from the harmful world of drugs will be shocked today when Nadelmann gets a national audience at the National Press Club in Canberra-sponsored by the NationalAustralia Bank.

Earlier in the year 2002 Robert Sharpe who was the Drug Policy Alliance spokesman for Washington accepted that their plan was to useAustralia like a stalking horse for the purpose of legalizing drugs in the US.

The drug legalization plan is always targeted at devastating the functionality and sovereignty of the nation-states by way of destroying the power to think of the people.

Soros is solely responsible for the drug epidemic among the youth in Australia.

Ethan on TV in Australia – lively performance! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfjwGjY6wAQ

The most ridiculous part is at the end when the Ozzy guy goes ‘how dare he come over here and tell us how to run drug policy’… erm… your drug policy is based on the UN conventions.. which were set-up largely by the USA.. so you have already been told how to run your drug policy, which didn’t work… typical prohib blind faith in the status quo..

  9. darkcycle says:

Now there’s a hell of a statement: “…Soros is solely responsible for the drug epodemic among the youth of Austrailia.”
Soros must be the Devil himself. How does he manage to get into all those schoolyards and lunchrooms anyway?

  10. Hope says:

    Thank you, Malcolm.

As a comment to your post at 8:01.

Wow. What a display of being able to deliver a hearty serving of BS. Around here we sometimes refer to people that can do that thing that writer just did as “Bullshitters”.

Oh my gosh. Whoever wrote that has got it down to an art.

I’d be angry, but I’m sort of awed because it’s almost miraculous in it’s density.

By the way, “Bullshitters” fully translates to “Liars” and “Deceivers”.

  11. Hope says:

“Soros is solely responsible for the drug epidemic among the youth in Australia.”

That’s so outrageous, I can’t help but suspect sarcasm.

  12. claygooding says:

The article you posted Malcolm is a perfect example of
drug prohibition propaganda, from it’s opening sentence to it’s closing line.

“Billionaire British agent George Soros is aiming Aussie kids in his conflict for drugs, installing legalization point-man Ethan Nadelmann to Australia to promote his strategy.”

Nothing in the world makes Australians as mad as “British agents” trying to influence their policies.

“If Australia were to severely change its drug laws, it would be done CNN and this would crash the debate in the US.”

As if we need Australia to enact or do anything to derail the prohibition train,we are doing it just fine, thank you.

  13. malcolm kyle says:

I suspect those rather evil “British agents” may well be ‘up to no good’ even while we speak.

  14. darkcycle says:

Inflamatory nonsense. Hyperbole. Fear mongering and exploiting Ethinic and National biases to justify continuance of a disasterous policy.
Yep, It’s all there. Just poorly done.

  16. Common Science says:

Both sites that Malcolm lists, containing the identical highly creative scatological diatribe, are absent of an ‘author’, but a Submitted by ; for the frenchtribune – Cerise Negulici, and for the TOPNEWS – Ria Patel. I’ve started seeing this recently with highly inflammatory prohibition-enabling articles which seem to me to suggest writing by committee efforts.

I’m haunted by synchronicity. Only the day before yesterday I was listening to Mr. Kieth’s song on Youtube.

They have iPhone service around the Unabomber’s shack? Impressive.

Hey, there aren’t many places left without wi-fi access and I figured Pete isn’t in Antarctica. Sheesh, even the Inuit have ubiquitous Internet access nowadays.

    ———————————————————————————————————————

I’ve been thinking a lot about one of the most intransigent groups of Know Nothings, those being the truly uninformed ones who simply cannot be convinced the government is lying, or to even take a glimpse at the proof. I’ve no conclusions to present, but I realized today that they aren’t inventions of the war on (some) drugs. The piece of evidence that swayed me to this belief was a 1963 song by a Mr. Robert Zimmerman (aka Bob Dylan) which he called “A Pawn in their Game”.

    Jonathon Magbie = Medgar Evers?
    Drug users = Negroes?
    South politician = Gil Kerlifries*?
poor white = non users of drugs on the naughty list?
everything else in the song = remains the same?
The more things change = the more they remain the same?

*(my spell checker says Kerlifries is misspelled, and suggests Kerfuffle.

    A Pawn in Their Game:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xGe0zfTqM0

A bullet from the back of a bush took Medgar Evers’ blood
A finger fired the trigger to his name
A handle hid out in the dark
    A hand set the spark
    Two eyes took the aim
    Behind a man’s brain
    But he can’t be blamed
He’s only a pawn in their game.

A South politician preaches to the poor white man
“You got more than blacks, don’t complain
    You’re better than them,
you been born with white skin” they explain
    And the Negro’s name
    Is used it is plain
    For the politician’s gain
    As he rises to fame
    And the poor white remains
On the caboose of the train
But it ain’t him to blame
He’s only a pawn in their game.

The deputy sheriffs, the soldiers, the governors get paid
And the marshals and cops get the same
But the poor white man’s used in the hands of them all like a tool
    He’s taught in his school
From the start by the rule
That the laws are with him
    To protect his white skin
    To keep up his hate
    So he never thinks straight
‘Bout the shape that he’s in
But it ain’t him to blame
He’s only a pawn in their game.

From the powerty shacks, he looks from the cracks to the tracks
And the hoof beats pound in his brain
And he’s taught how to walk in a pack
    Shoot in the back
With his fist in a clinch
    To hang and to lynch
    To hide ‘neath the hood
    To kill with no pain
Like a dog on a chain
    He ain’t got no name
But it ain’t him to blame
He’s only a pawn in their game.

Today, Medgar Evers was buried from the bullet he caught
They lowered him down as a king
But when the shadowy sun sets on the one
    That fired the gun
    He’ll see by his grave
    On the stone that remains
    Carved next to his name
    His epitaph plain:
Only a pawn in their game.

    goddammit. just goddammit all.

Whatever Happened To Peace On Earth – Willie Nelson

There’s so many things going on in the world
    Babies dying
    Mothers crying
How much oil is one human life worth
And what ever happened to peace on earth

We believe everything that they tell us
    They’re gonna’ kill us
So we gotta’ kill them first
    But I remember a commandment
    Thou shall not kill
How much is that soldier’s life worth
And whatever happened to peace on earth

    So I guess it’s just
Do unto others before they do it to you
Let’s just kill em’ all and let God sort em’ out
Is this what God wants us to do

Now you probably won’t hear this on your radio
Probably not on your local TV
But if there’s a time, and if you’re ever so inclined
You can always hear it from me
How much is one picker’s word worth
And whatever happened to peace on earth

But don’t confuse caring for weakness
You can’t put that label on me
The truth is my weapon of mass protection
And I believe truth sets you free

And the bewildered herd is still believing
Everything we’ve been told from our birth
Hell they won’t lie to me
Not on my own damn TV
But how much is a liar’s word worth
And whatever happened to peace on earth

In other news a man was bitten by a dog while he attempted to take a shortcut through the dog’s yard. He was treated at the hospital for minor lacerations, arrested for trespassing, booked and released on $500 bail. The dog declined medical attention and was last seen wagging his tail.

(That’s the version for polite company. For conversation with scoundrels and ne’er-do-wells simply replace “wagging his tail” with “licking his balls” or “sniffing another dogs butt”.)

Well I am particularly impressed by myself and my response to the Soros Lady. Since I don’t know if they will actually publish my response I’ve decided to post it here for the pleasure of posterity. In it I’ve even created a new word! “cannabinoidian”. You people are nucking futz. 95% of Americans either couldn’t find Australia on a map and/or confuse it with the lost continent of Atlantis, sitting on the ocean floor and populated with Mermaids and Mermen.

Severe narcissism with delusional thinking, like believing that George Soros is lurking under your bed because he’s out to get you is an indication that the writer needs to consult with mental health professionals. It is not evidence that the epic failure of public policy that we in the US like to call the war on (some) drugs isn’t sheer idiocy that needs to be ended in favor of policies which actually benefit society rather than denigrate it.

It’s more likely that the US will end the idiocy of prohibition leading Australia to restore sanity “down under” than vice versa. The UN Single Convention Treaty of 1961 is something the US can withdraw from at it’s whim. The Aussies need the permission of US authorities. Good luck if we haven’t done so first. Another consideration is that you guys just don’t have the legal protections allowing you to get the truth out and discredit whacked out nonsense (e.g. “George Soros is Lucifer in human form”) that we do in the US.

Try to give a drunk driver a random breathalyzer in the US and just watch how fast the charge gets tossed. They haven’t even bothered with oral swabs for cannabis because cannabinoidian drivers just don’t give them probable cause to get tested. I’ve heard Australia gets convictions daily using such random testing.

One thing that makes me very sad about the war on (some) drugs is that it may result in the death of sarcasm as an art form. How the heck could the quote above not be sarcasm, or at least an exercise in stupidity? Teapot Party?!? I’m a wannabe member, where do I sign up?

I’ve been thinking back to my 1989 bust which is what got me started studying the actual evidence. It was much easier quitting cocaine after I realized that if I didn’t that I wasn’t long for the world. I went looking for facts so quitting cannabis wouldn’t be such bitch. Then came the drug rehab with urine testing. By then I had realized based on the evidence available that cannabis denigration was in fact a fraud. I ended up heavily involved in NORML and did all kinds of activist like stuff. Did all sorts of things I’d never foreseen for myself like interrogating Jerry Brown in New Hampshire in early 1992 and driving to Cambridge to consult with a Dr Lester Grinspoon in an attempt to get a Marinol Rx so my brain didn’t pop out of my head from the insanity of drug rehab. You may have heard his name. Very friendly manHey, I’ve still got the bottle as a souvenir if you don’t believe me. As a matter of fact it still has 4 tabs left because I thought (think) Marinol was (is) b-o-r-i-n-g!! I’ve got an autographed copy of “The Forbidden Medicine” somewhere around.

I wouldn’t wish the circumstances that led me to those places on a pile of dogshit. But I don’t find it so farfetched that Mr. Nelson might actually get involved if they don’t just whack his pee-pee and send him on his way. Seriously, how many potheads get a misdemeanor for a pound and a half in Louisiana? Then again he can easily refute the presumption that he’s a drug dealer based on quantity. So how do I write Mr. Nelson and tell him that it just might end up being the time of his life?

It still amazes me that I (still) regard those years as the time of mine despite the probation and the forced re-education. Shit I got to meet Dick Cowan, Allan St Pierre, Rob Kampia, Dennis Peron, Elvy Musikka, George McMahon, had the opportunity to smoke GI weed and rejected it after looking at it. Those poor people in the IND would take a step up with cartel bunk weed. George left about 8 roaches in the ashtray at my friend’s home. met Jack Herer, Dennis Peron, Don Wirtshafter, Carl Olsen, Ed Rosenthal, made a couple of very dear friends, oh well shit, I met just about everybody that was anybody in the movement at the time. Elvy was such a dear heart, and blind as a bat. She was able to recognize people, She’d be like oh hi Duncan how are you and then turn around and walk into a wall. Well not that often because people would step in an divert her if they noticed it was imminent. Maybe she smelled us I don’t know. Ed was a dickhead, Jack was never without a pipe in his hand no matter where he was, Don was a raving communist but a voluntary one so I had no problem with that, Rob and I took one look at each other and developed instant, mutual personal animosity, Dick was queer as a $3 bill with a great sense of humor, Allan’s a drone/policy wonk, but that’s just perfect for his job. First time I ever met him he was in the back office when NORML was still on R Street, I walked in trying to find factual info, no one in the front office and I walked into the rear and he and and another guy were grinning from ear to ear, looking at a bag of kind bud they’d obviously just obtained. I got to be Chairman of DC Metro NORML for a year, mostly because no one else wanted the job. So did you know that Willie is on the NORML advisory board, whatever that is? Tommy Chong too. Oh shit, I’m blathering again.

Gov Vows To Tighten Law on Marijuana By Bob Jordan
CN Source: Asbury Park Press November 27, 2010 Trenton

Gov. Chris Christie said he will fight to prevent his administration’s proposed medical marijuana regulations from going up in smoke, despite pressure from state lawmakers to make changes. The governor said he fears watering down the rules would essentially create “a de facto legalization of marijuana” in New Jersey. Changes here could lead to duplicating flawed medical marijuana systems in place in California and Colorado, Christie said during a press conference on Tuesday. There are currently a total of 13 states that allow medical marijuana.

Chrisie’s an idiot by choice. Two faced prohibition sales and service. Terrorizing more sick Americans, on a daily basis. Keep em guessing if the doors gonna bust down saveding the chillums from third hand smoke. Spitting on the Constitution and snuffing out any integrity of the state. Governing Marionette cashing in on profits they trickle down from poisoning the constituents. Keeping the Ganjawar alive, including Hemp that could clean up the chemical mess. Most Governators do nothing and if they succeed in doing nothing they get an honorable place in History and not much recognition.

Those intentionally harming the voters for money hopefully get recognition, then a trial and long hours in a plexiglas maxipad cage. Where is the “Liberty” to simply breath clean air and drink clean water? Outlawing a safer alternative, that could clean up ground contamination is beyond cognizant thought. Who could ever do such a thing, on purpose? Hitler killed and enslaved millions, but making them sick to sell them treatments? While outlawing competition? In the name of the childrens? Quite a coincidence if this is actually the real world, wouldn’t you say? (“commotion; disorder; agitation; to put into disorder or disarray; ruffle or disarrange” ??!??)

C’mon, post hoc ergo propter hoc logic demands that I consider the coma theory.

How many prison inmates are there
    in California?

The prison population grew from about 67,000 inmates in 1987 to 171,000 inmates in 2007 (5 percent average annual growth). Similarly, the prison incarceration rate grew from 240 to 450 inmates per 100,000 Californians over the same period (3 percent average annual growth).

Most of this growth occurred between 1987 and 1998. This period was one of declining crime rates but also included the implementation of tougher sentencing laws and a prison construction boom that activated 20 state prisons.

New campaign! 26 states by 2012! youtube

To have a shot at removing the federal government’s prohibition on medical marijuana, we need at least 26 states to legalize medical marijuana. This will give us a clear path to victory in Congress and/or the federal courts.

Hello, my name is Kathy Reynolds and marijuana saved my life.
I don’t want to be a criminal. I just want to live a normal life…

That’s why I’m asking you to please support the Marijuana Policy Project’s “26 by 2012” campaign. MPP wants to remove the federal government’s prohibition on medical marijuana, which basically requires 26 states to have laws making medical marijuana legal….
