Fun with Kevin and Friends

It’s interesting how Mr. Sabet’s “friends” end up being so… passionate.

I’ve been having a fun exchange with “Brian C,” who purports to be merely an interested reader checking out Kevin’s book, and yet feels the need to go to extreme lengths to criticize my review.

Brian C. is one hell of a speed reader if he’s had Sabet’s book for one day. Already he needs to criticize Pete’s appraisal of a book Pete has previously read and evaluated.

Maybe poor Brian is pissed because he just spent $8.86 for a book that’s a piece of narcissistic trash. It’s hard to figure the articulate Brian C., unless of course he’s a plant.

Either Mr. Sabet has a following of groupies, or he’s addicted to acupressure and T’ai Chi.

what’s the dimwit’s name that stops by and leaves an occasional dropping? It’s not Dave (Dave’s not here)… might be Brian… whomever it is, he argues like Kevin, nattering semantics, not issue. I hope (ok, not really) he gets that cob removed from whence it’s stuck. If he can’t there’s help available in NM.

I was pondering history and realized that it’s been (at least) 35 years now since we last saw Dave. Does anyone really believe that he’s coming back?

    It must be a sycophant, or maybe…. I’m thinking it’s Kev-Kev himself.
It must be like drowning, or suffocating, watching your ONDCP directorship sinking, along with the entire prohibition ship… I mean…70% voting to legalize…psychologically that must be devastating.
Could somebody please e-mail Kevvie directions to the nearest high bridge?

I have always claimed there wasn’t any manner I wanted to make money from ending the prohibition of marijuana,,I have no plans to open a marijuana store or grow it for a living but I would start up a guide service for prohibitionist searching for tall structures.

Let’s please make sure that the bridge is not over a body of water. I’m thinking that even minute amounts of Kev-Kev in the drinking water could be extremely deleterious to public health.

  4. allan says:

    yep… I have a 100′ bridge in mind w/ a 120′ bungee chord ready for prohib jumpers.

    My comment on Amazon:

Brian C seems awfully familiar with Kevin’s arguments, for not yet having read the book. He cites fear of “big cannabis” (we already have that — cartels), “I know two addicts who ‘aren’t the same'” (I know lots of non-mj-consumers who ‘aren’t the same’ as they used to be), 9-10% “dependency” rate (what’s the rate for caffeine?), and my favorite non-argument: people going to rehab for mj “addiction”.

But unlike marijuana, I’ve never heard of anyone going to a rehab facility for addiction to “eggnog”, “chocolate” or “coffee”.

Yeah BC, and unlike marijuana, I’ve never heard of anyone being arrested or failing an employment drug-test for “eggnog”, “chocolate”, or “coffee” either — the two biggest reasons for anyone going to rehab for mj.

Kevin’s ‘supporters’ remind me of something that happened a long time ago: The ‘David Manning’ phony film reviewer scandal.

While Kevin was at ONDCP (and one must ask, with no real job paying the bills for his current operations, did he ever really leave?) several similar scandals took place regarding false information being being passed off as news reports…and the ONDCP got a black eye when the GAO investigated them about it, for violating laws against propagandizing the American people.

Given ONDCP’s ‘mandate’ to lie to the public about drugs, particularly cannabis, and given that ol’ Kevvie was(?) their chief mouthpiece/mendicant, nobody should be surprised at these latest ‘supporters’ writings bearing a (faux gasp of surprise) ‘shocking’ similarity to his previous work.

Given how dependent prohibs are upon ‘situational ethics’ (as in ‘the end justifies the means’ which sounds better in the original Soviet Russian) and ‘noble lies’ (lying to kids in order to ‘save’ them) in order to justify their actions, should anyone be surprised at this?

The fruit never falls far from the tree…especially if it’s poisonous. This particularly rotten fruit bears the ONDCP stamp of approval…and its’ stench.

Kevin and all prohibitionist complain that a “rich” backer is pushing for legalization when the prohibitionist have the federal government funding them, either directly or by fronts and some of the richest corporations in the world financing them.
I am reminded of the old adage about being careful who you point your finger at,,three of your fingers are pointing at you. and their rich backers diatribe brings them to the top like a turd that won’t flush.

  8. Matthew Meyer says:

I agree, for someone who hadn’t read Sabet’s book yet, Brian C sure kept reaching in his hat and pulling out Sabetian talking points.

  9. curmudgeon says:

Kevin doesn’t have friends, only psychophants.

  10. divadab says:

It was a real pleasure to read this pathetic bleat from one of Kevin’s beards:

“Unfortunately, social media and the ability of uninformed people to comment freely has created an online environment where scientific truth can be attacked and manipulated easily, harshly and unfairly. Marijuana legalizers relentlessly assault anyone who reports studies that present their beloved drug in a detrimental light. From the legalizer’s comments it is obvious that the use of marijuana makes one not only a liar, but rude and totally unprofessional as well. Dr. Sabet has presented a very well thought out approach to dealing with the marijuana problem in this country.”

    Waaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh! Waaaaaaaahhhhhhh!

Freedom – ain’t it wonderful? And ain;t it wonderful to pull the beards of the enemies of freedom like this clown?
