Podcast

A friend of mine who writes under the handle of “Occasionally Wrong” has a podcast that he uses whenever there’s a topic that makes him mad, and he invited me to join him on his newest episode: Am I Mad? Episode 7: It’s ok to admit the Drug War sucks.

We chatted for about 20 minutes about what happens after drug legalization, and another 20 minutes on the problems with political parties.

I really don’t like listening to my own voice, so I haven’t listened to it yet, but I had fun doing it.

Listening to it now,,nothing wrong with your voice,,,also,,can I be the Sgt at Arms for the Prohibition isn’t Free.org,,if that position isn’t open I will substitute as coffee maker….

    • War Vet says:

According to the possibilities submitted by Douglas Adams: Your intelligence in the matters of the War on Drugs must logically complement your coffee making skills . . . thus the notion is posited that every time you make your finest cup of coffee –the end of some other prohibition in some other universe or galaxy is created. No doubt there is more logic and proof surrounding that very real possibility than the probability of the War on Drugs being ethically, logically and morally sound.

There are a few large tornados coming up towards my general direction in the next hour or so . . . I wish I had a few trash cans full of the best Cannabis seeds known to man . . . It worked for the movie ‘Twister’. I’m sure the baseball size hale can help till the soil.

    • Pete says:

Well here’s another one from the “Gomer Pyle” category:

Marin grand jury: county should permit medical marijuana dispensaries in unincorporated areas

    By Richard Halstead
    Marin Independent Journal
    05/19/201

The Marin County Civil Grand Jury is recommending the Board of Supervisors use its authority to uphold access to medical marijuana in the county.

In a new report that borrows its title from the Cheech and Chong movie “Up in Smoke,” the grand jury reviews the convoluted history of medical marijuana’s legalization in California and recounts the crackdown by federal prosecutors over the past 18 months that has resulted in the closure of an estimated 800 medical marijuana dispensaries throughout the state.

What the frack is this obsession to tell stupid jokes about potheads? Are there any other crimes which crack people up? Why can’t these people at least come up with some new material? I swear to gawd that every single one of the mandatory stupid jokes about pot is at least 30 years old. Dave’s not here was funny the first 840,420 times I heard it. “Up in Smoke” is 35 years old for crying out loud!
