  3. Phillip A. Bowl says:

Some good Cali hydro costs more than an ounce of gold. What the price really reflects is the risk. High Times used to have a cool t-shirt it showed some hands wrapped around jail bars at the bottom it said marijuana’s worst side effect.

  4. Nick Zentor says:

I guess this video is somewhat of a satire with a message, but like much satire, it’s a bit vague and difficult to figure. I mean to say, I know it has a satirical bent to it, but I’m not sure everyone would. G. W. Bush, for example, was clueless during his satirical roast by Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert.

The point is, I think some dummies might actually take this video as proof that many marijuana users prefer marijuana illegal. In fact, I have heard some users admit that they do prefer it illegal. The reason for that position, which is obvious, however, is that the ones who prefer it illegal are the wealthy ones who have both the extra security to prevent being caught in possession and the extra money to avoid jail-time. Wealth = immunity.

Unfortunately, you greedy, wealthy pigs, all of us are not as wealthy and immune to bad drug policies as you frucking money-hording pigs are, so give us a break and stop hording all the cannabis for yourself (High Times hypocrites, this means you!)! The only way us poor commoners are going to escape the persecution and punishment is through cannabis policy reforms.

  5. Pete says:

I agree that the satire is probably way too subtle to “convince” anyone who isn’t already on the side of marijuana law reform. But it’s fun, anyway.

Pitcher Dock Ellis’ Legendary LSD No-Hitter
By James Blagden, No Mas – Tuesday, November 17 2009
In celebration of the greatest athletic achievement by a man on a psychedelic journey, No Mas and artist James Blagden proudly present the animated tale of Dock Ellis’ legendary LSD no-hitter. In the past few years weve heard all too much about performance enhancing drugs from greenies to tetrahydrogestrinone, and not enough about performance inhibiting drugs. If our evaluation of the records of athletes like Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, Marion Jones, and Barry Bonds needs to be revised downwards with an asterisk, we submit that that Dock Ellis record deserves a giant exclamation point. Of the 263 no-hitters ever thrown in the Big Leagues, we can only guess how many were aided by steroids, but we can say without question that only one was ever thrown on acid. continued…

It’s a nice video of a nice song, sung by a very handsome young man, Wendy.

    It’s called “Who says?”

  13. R.O.E. says:

Don’t forget the golden rule Nick Z. he who has the gold makes the rules. Big pharma doesn’t want you to grow a plant in your back yard that will render their poison obsolete.

  15. Nick Zentor says:

I’m not dissing the video, I just got a bit carried away with a narrow aspect of it. The fact is, I’m a big fan of satire. I think we need more of it. Humor and satire are very helpful for getting the truth across, especially to people who tend to ignore boring articles and speeches.

No, don’t get me wrong, i love satire. I’ve learned quite a lot from it during my life-time. I know how effective it can be to get a point, or the truth across.

    Vindictive haters… over a plant.

Vindictive haters are cruel, idiotic, insane, evil, and dangerous.

They are possessed by the most ‘evil spirit’ of all… hatred.

  18. Ed Dunkle says:

I always thought they should make a similar video from the point of view of Mexican drug lords. “Thanks for prohibition, it’s making me rich!”

  20. Wendy says:

I think I may have even found evidence in The Bible tha to love each other is okay.

  21. Wendy says:

..woops ‘that’ to love each other, really, I sort of interpret it to say that everything is really okay.

    ..ya know..the truth is self-evident.

..about the Gay and Mormon bologna.

..honestly, it says it is okay…

..as a child I was taught The Bible is true as far as we interpret in correctly.

..and also We Believe in the {power} of the Holy Ghost.

..I honestly believe it’s okay to be gay and happy.

    I sorely miss someone ….
