Soros-funded Dope Lobby in Damage Control Over Shootings by… Cliff Kinkaid

Kinkaid is so far over the edge that even the crazies are afraid to touch him, so don’t go to the bother of actually fisking this story unless it’s for fun.

Because of the evidence that Loughner was a pothead, and the evidence that marijuana abuse is linked to mental illness, the Soros-funded marijuana lobby is working overtime to try to draw media attention away from his addiction to the drug. […]

A photograph of a smirking Jared Loughner, after he was taken into custody, seems to prove beyond doubt that he is seriously disturbed, as a result of prolonged drug use. He exhibited symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia. […]

Now she is fighting for her life because of bullets fired from the gun of a certified marijuana addict. […]

Ironically, Arizona voters in November narrowly passed Proposition 203, making Arizona the 15th state to allow for the scam known as “medical marijuana.” This will have the effect of increasing distribution of the drug.

Remember that the Pentagon shooter from California was a “medical marijuana” patient but was obviously not helped by the drug being prescribed by a physician. […]

One of those people was Arizona shooter Jared Loughner. The passage of Proposition 203 guarantees there will be more like him.

Yup, this is getting the rounds as a possible culprit.

  2. Jon Doe says:

Hasn’t it been revealed that the shooter had stopped his cannabis use TWO YEARS before the killings?

  3. darkcycle says:

Doesn’t matter, John Doe. If the guy had previously SMELLED marijuana, these folks would say the same thing. They see this as an opportunity to turn the conversation about legalization back. It doesn’t matter that this guy and the pentagon shooter were just two out of how ever many million pot smokers, this is the sort of thing that has allowed them to perpetuate this atrocity, and they’ll seize upon it. The MSM seems to be right out there with the reports of his pot use as well. No reports I’ve seen mention anything about him having stopped.

  4. strayan says:

So essentially he was off his meds (his meds being cannabis).

  5. darkcycle says:

Uck. I made it about four paragraphs in..

  6. strayan says:

You should start reading articles from the bottom now darkcycle – if comments are ‘off’ there is no point.

  7. paul says:

The MSM is probably the one who should be frantically defending itself, but they are too busy attacking to realize that many of their customers despise them.

They all claim to be in deep mourning for the shooting victims, and shocked by the assassination attempt, but they are all really just happy to have a new whet stone upon which to grind their well worn axes.

Whatever political issue or group bothers them the most, that was the reason the shootings happened. For the NY times, it was the tea parties. For many, it was guns, or right wing rhetoric, or communism, and now, of course, marijuana.

To have this guy go off about marijuana is annoying enough, but then he claims we are working overtime to change the subject, which is galling.

The MSM can’t go bankrupt fast enough for me.

  8. until pot smokers are willing to start outing themselves, the drooling zombie stoner stereotype will remain alive and well. we can’t lay the blame entirely on the media — they can only work with what they are given.

obviously, they should do a better job of doing their homework (which is a problem with what currently passes for “journalism” in general), but unless there are living breathing real-life examples of the average stoner stepping up, there is little recourse but to repeat the mythology.

  9. claygooding says:

Actually,he probably started on milk as all babies do,so we should ban milk, kill all the cows and arrest all the women as gateway drug producers.

Strayan, I’ll E-mail the author, or the website, or the friggin Pope (except he’s blocked me now). I just like to keep my outrage meter somewhere in the Orange. Hell, I’ll go to “The Drudge Report” if my blood pressure drops to within normal parameters. Eyeballs bulgin’ and coffee coming out my nose, that’s darkcycle.

Bwahaha allan420 that was a funnee! What if this puke in AZ was in love with the congresswoman and she said get lost creep. I know it sounds like something out of days of our lives. I put money on that douchenozzle on prozac or some other anti-depressant. I wonder what the rest of the world thinks about the vultures and ghouls coming out of the woodwork after an atrocity to settle old scores, get political gain and further divide the country, do these oppurtunists even give a rat’s ass about the victims of this massacre. (rhetorical question)

    Time Magazine 1/10/2011

“….But is there really a link between marijuana and violence?

While alcohol and cocaine use are pharmacologically associated with increased risk of violence—due to their effects on the brain, these drugs themselves can increase the risk for violent behavior—marijuana tends to be, well, more mellowing. It can increase anxiety and paranoia, however, which can sometimes be linked to violence. And the illegality of marijuana is linked with drug-trade related violence.

I can’t recall any occasion hearing of even a single mainstream media outlet differentiate between pharmacological caused violence and prohibition caused violence. Seeing that made me feel a little better. This stupid assassination thing has me all bummed out as the collective perception of potheads took a pretty serious kick in the gut.

  14. malcolm kyle says:

Alcohol is a factor in the following

    * 73% of all felonies * 73% of child beating cases * 41% of rape cases * 80% of wife battering cases * 72% of stabbings * 83% of homicides.

According to the Australian National Drug Research Institute (2003): “Tobacco, alcohol and illicit drugs are prematurely killing around seven million people worldwide each year, and robbing tens of millions more of a healthy life…The research into the global burden of disease attributable to alcohol, tobacco and illicit drugs found that in 2000, tobacco use was responsible for 4.9 million deaths worldwide, equating to 71 percent of all drug-related deaths. Around 1.8 million deaths were attributable to the use of alcohol (26 percent of all drug-related deaths), and illicit drugs (heroin, cocaine and amphetamines) caused approximately 223,000 deaths (3 percent of all drug-related deaths).”

Debating whether a particular drug is harmless or not is missing the whole point. Are drugs like Heroin, Meth or Alcohol dangerous? It simply doesn’t matter, because if we prohibit them then we sure as hell know that it makes a bad situation far worse. If someone wants to attempt to enhance or destroy their lives with particular medicines or poisons, that should be their business, not anybody else’s. Their lives aren’t ours to direct. And, anyway, who wants to give criminals a huge un-taxed, endless revenue stream?

A great many of us are slowly but surely wising up to the fact that the best avenue towards realistically dealing with drug use and addiction is through proper regulation which is what we already do with alcohol & tobacco, clearly two of our most dangerous mood altering substances. But for those of you whose ignorant and irrational minds traverse a fantasy plane of existence, you will no doubt remain sorely upset with any type of solution that does not seem to lead to your absurd and unattainable utopia of a drug free society.

  15. Duncan20903 says:

What the heck did you expect? “Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind.”

It’s been known for decades that if “You smoke a joint and you’re likely to kill your US Congressional Representative.”

People are simply in denial, it’s been well know for decades that “Marijuana is an addictive drug which produces in its users insanity, criminality, and death.”

You were warned to not let the Negroes get persnickety, and you know very well that its proven that “Reefer makes darkies think they’re as good as white men.” Now the Negroes have gone and driven this fine white young man to certifiable madness from smoking the devil’s lettuce.

How the heck can you not see how dangerous it is to smoke dope? “There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others.” Why do you think they call it muggles anyway?

We need to see the results of Jared’s piss test. I’ll betcha one is SOP during intake procedures at the Tucson Jail.

I gotta say the “link” to schizophrenia is goddamn annoying. It’s absurd if one needs nothing more than the rate of schizophrenia in the general population or data equally simple to obtain to disprove such a claim. C’mon, can’t these people come up with bald faced lies that are at least a challenge to disprove?

I recall reading one screed that had “proven” it by finding an Island country where the schizophrenia rates were off the charts and by happenstance the local just love cannabis. I can’t recall the name of the country but at least there was some plausible basis in fact to proffer the idea that cannabis was a causal factor in the incidence of schizophrenia, at least enough to warrant investigation. The investigation happened and it was determined that inbreeding with a genetic link to schizophrenia was the culprit.

I have a frequently recurring dream where I am with my family on a grassy knoll over looking the ocean and its just a really beautiful site. The temp is perfect and I’m totally contented and the vegetation growing is plentiful and simply delicious. I never have figured out why that grass is so scrumptious. Mother, father, sister and brother, the 3 of us just totally contented, nothing else exists that could possibly make us happier than we are at that exact moment. Oh, I forgot to mention that in the we’re goats. That’s part of the reason why the grass is so delicious and also why I fill the role of father and brother. Hey, mom is hot, the very epitome of a GILF. It seems Dr. Freud was correct, at least about goats.

“Alcohol is a factor in the following”

The approved rhetoric for a member of the Know Nothing prohibitionist cohort is “Well, isn’t that bad enough? Why would we want to introduce the population to another drug that causes impairment and addiction?”

How the heck would you people answer that one? I’ve been using “I’m sorry to have to break this news to you but this country and cannabis were introduced to each other in the 1620s. I really would like to know why they have this idea in their heads that there’s a shortage of cannabis due to it being against the law.

On the flip side they seem to have certainty that if you start “smoking pot” that you will do it constantly 24/7/365. Plenty of supply on hand to smoke constantly. Couches, moms basement, Cheetos, Cheech and Chong reruns, totally amotivational, becoming a total drain on society on welfare, but don’t seem to wonder how this unemployed, lazy pothead can afford to spend a few to several hundred dollars a week to buy pot.

I find this all very frustrating.

  18. Servetus says:

Loughner and Kinkaid should get together. The guys are like two peas in a pod.

Speaking of pod people, an identifying feature of pod creatures is one where unsolicited and unqualified psychiatric expertise erupts among winger know-nothings such as Kinkaid during stressful public events.

Someday we’ll know more about Jared Loughner than any sane person could possibly want to know. After he’s executed, we’ll probably be able to pull up his brain scan charts on the web. Maybe someone can start a charity fund to buy Cliff Kinkaid a brain scan as well. Until then, Kinkaid’s amateur interpretations of cannabis biochemistry and guess-work concerning Loughner’s neuro-circuits will remain entertaining, although a disturbing example of how far the human species can sink.

  21. auggie says:

When I get that one I point out that cannabis is a much safer alternative to tobacco and alcohol. While usually met with skepticism its easy to point out stats and facts to prove it.

  22. James Little says:

Ok, rather than try to demonize pot smokers. What about all the Police that have issues with steroid abuse? There was just an article I read about this today. What great public servants they are going after “POT HEADS” when there is a rampant problem of steroid abuse within their own ranks. Bunch of hypocrites if you ask me.

“” After a Glock-wielding gunman killed six people at a Tucson shopping center on Jan. 8, Greg Wolff, the owner of two Arizona gun shops, told his manager to get ready for a stampede of new customers. Wolff was right.

Instead of hurting sales, the massacre had the $499 semi-automatic pistols — popular with police, sport shooters and gangsters — flying out the doors of his Glockmeister stores in Mesa and Phoenix.

“We’re at double our volume over what we usually do,” Wolff said two days after the shooting spree that also left 14 wounded, including Democratic Representative Gabrielle Giffords, who remains in critical condition.””

Yeah they always want to blame pot use for anger and schizophrenia when everyone here since we use recreationaly and medically are always studing and reading tons of info on cannabis and now full well the studies that show calming effects and healing of cannabis these folks choose to ignore these studies I doubt Cliff Kinkaid has taken time to read any recent studies on cannabis he would think they had all been wrtten by George Soros I quess. Oh and Sarah Palin actually has the Religious a bit perpexled right cool for me cause I’m Bisexual and my son is gay and Sarah kinda retweeted support for dadt on a gay blogger tammy bruce whose kinda conservative who agreeing with the don’t ask dont tell I heard some religious folk on a show say well we should not put people on pedestal yeah Sarahs not going along with the complete religious right templete anymore good for her.there little sweetie anymore it seems everyone’s at each others throats lately over ddat the shooting it a constant power struggle and we here just want to be left alone to light up our cannabis with out being hassled at every turn yeah right like that’s going to happen well its getting a little better.

  25. WHAT........! says:

If cannabis made people crazy, there should have been MILLIONS of people doing AZ shootings. The politicians dont have the balls to admit that they ARE part of the problem. No they must use this ,as many have said,as a political football to gain them power by demonizing various groups of people. Are you politicians truely blind and stupid to the problems your help create? Or are your truely insane and use all problems as tools to power intead of truely solving problems?
The drug laws are prime example of how politicians turn a blind eye to the screaming truth.
Politicans. Either open your damned eyes …ah never mind, they dont care.

I’m of the mind right now that we should pick up the Know Nothings grenades and toss them back at them. E.g. on the subject of yesterday’s PG County murder of a pothead which everyone is blaming “drug dealing” with only the slightest indication that it might be so. Here I am tossing the “what about the children” grenade right back at them:

“I do think it’s kind of remarkable that anyone favors this kind of living environment. There’s no reason why cannabis couldn’t be part of everyday commerce which gets it out of family neighborhoods. Don’t you Know Nothing prohibitionist know there were children living in that neighborhood? Don’t you people ever stop to think about how this nonsense puts the children at risk? What if little Timmy next door had taken a bullet to the head? Yeah let’s keep America safe for the sake of corporate profits. What about the poor shareholders and their needs? What about the CEO’s annual bonus?

Well I can’t seem to get the goddam thing to post. That LA Times software has got to be the buggiest commenting forum software in the world. Yeah I know I’m at the Baltimore Sun, they use the same buggy comments software as the LA Times. But I’m still up for a discussion of this tactic.

Just as an FYI College Park is just a hop, skip and a jump from Mayor Cheye Calvo’s Berwyn Heights. The two municipalities may actually share a border. The murder scene was no more than 3 miles from Mr. Calvo’s home.

  32. Duncan20903 says:

darkcycle you head shrinkers just refuse to accept that someone can have a recurring happy dream. But that’s what you get when you emulate a cocaine addict who has a specific sexual compulsion about his own (human) mother.

Seriously, why the heck did anyone take Freud seriously? Yes, he did some in depth research into his own particular brand of insanity but Freud’s mental illness just doesn’t effect that many people. I think it’s safe to presume that Freud would have had a field day analyzing a man named Kink Aid.

Have you ever heard the Freudian analysis of American football? Well the ball is the father’s genitals, and the end zone is mom’s womb and the goal of the game is to get Dad’s package into Mom’s end zone. If the team fails to accomplish this they’re punished by being symbolically gang raped. It was never explained why the defense is intent on keeping dad from having mom.
