well, kleiman in this particular situation is quite correct. but if the initiative passes, i think that rather than sending in the stormtroopers, the feds will go for prosecution ala the arizona immigration law.

we are not going to win this game one tiny bit at a time.

If the parents are using the net, it’s probably only for entertainment. Most are “cellphone robots.” It’s a hoot to watch how it controls people’s behaviors. I would think tapping into their entertainment might catch their attention. Cells are already targeted commercially, and not just by service providers.

Someone (not me) should make an “app” that could be freely downloaded. What it would do? Well, that’s up to the author. And it should target multi-OSs (I think there’s a majority within the top 4.

That’s just an idea that flew through as I read denmark’s last line.

It’s been my new experience in Washington state that regular citizens, who “support” marijuana being legal, are not going to do what it takes to end the war on drugs. Until … one of their friends failed their UA and got thrown in jail. That jarred some into an uncomfortable place but regrettably not enough.

And I must say the paragraph: “this wealth of evidence we have generated over the last couple of decades are being systematically neglected and ignored in favor of a highly prevalent ideologically driven war on drugs” says it all.
Not sure how many other ways it can be said.

It will be as you wrote in your last comment kaptinemo, “but I’d be willing to bet they won’t until after the final crash”. So damn sad, so out of touch has humanity become.

Paul, I am well aware of their…orientation…but the fact is that they are a large part of why the State of California is heading for the fiscal boneyard. They’ve sucked down so much of the CA budget that they’ve been like vampires, draining the life’s-blood from their oblivious host, and now said host is moribund and in serious straits. Maybe the host (aka the taxpayers) will realize this in time and get themselves some crucifixes and garlic, but I’d be willing to bet they won’t until after the final crash. And then it won’t matter to anyone but the ‘correctional’ union…who will then have a taste of what everyone else there is getting, in no small part courtesy of their greed and hunger for political power.

Their idea of reform and your idea of reform may be two very different things. By reform, they probably mean that California urgently needs to extend sentences, raise prison guard pay, and build more prisons RIGHT NOW before the whole state collapses.
