The fact that more fatally injured drivers are using pot does not mean they are responsible for the accidents. They were killed by drunk and distracted drivers like most others.

The drug crusaders are lying because they omit telling us who is responsible for the fatal accidents. Pot smokers have the lowest accident rate of any category.

The Drugs and Accident Risk in Fatally-Injured Drivers study concluded that marijuana has a “negative risk factor” for fatal highway accidents. A “negative risk factor” means that pot smokers have a lower accident rate than teetotalers.

Drivers need not fear pot smoking drivers. Drunk drivers are the ones to be scared of.

The Chief says if Prop. 19 passes… everyone will go to work stoned and be smoking at work and lose for California all the Federal money for smoke free work places.

What?

I don’t think so.

Alcohol is legal and does everyone go to work drinking? Why would everyone suddenly decide to go to work stoned? Is he talking about himself? Is he talking about the police?

Federal tax resources wasted on such as the Smoke Free Workplace “reward” are just stupid and wasteful… and stupidly wasteful.

I never saw one car wreck. I never saw a single breach along any of those narrow bridges that connect the Keys.

I was driving to Key West once back then, and was going a bit fast at the point where the speed limit drops, just before the stoplight at Boca Chica. A policeman in a van pulled up beside me and rolled down the window, looking down into my sedan as we were both stopped there, saying: “The speed limit dropped from 50 to 35 back there. Could you please slow down a bit?”

That was it. A warning.

My open ashtray was full of roaches. The cop had to have seen them. But police in those days were often Vietnam veterans, with enough firsthand experience of cannabis use to be able to appraise it realistically. The era before Reefer Madness II.

I agreed to do so. I was sheepish. It was a rare lapse on my part.

In nearly 40 years of driving, I can count the number of traffic offenses I’ve been cited for on one hand. Nothing in the last 15 years (and the last “offense” that I was cited for turned out to be bogus, I’m told- it’s apparently legal to do a buttonhook u-turn at a 4-way stop intersection, if no other vehicles are present.)

I realize that such testimony is by definition excluded from any consideration by the Official Evidence Bureaus of the Authorities, due to the fact that it’s exculpatory of cannabis use.

Such a fine example they set for American youth, as far as Educational Standards- verdict first; testimony later.

Betty Boop was, at first, a mold breaking creation of her times and she riled up her own set of “Won’t somebody think of the children!?” detractors.

A sexual being – as in she was most definitely identifiable as a Woman when compared to other cartoon characters at the time who where “female”. She was depicted as flamboyant, stubborn, proud, self aware, unyielding and adventurous! How scandalous. Until the content laws and all that crap passed. And then she became a well behaved house wife or some shit.
