the ones that crack me up are the prohibitionist sites that link to mine (usually without telling me) — but clearly without having actually looked at my site.

i think it’s safe to re-calibrate the detectors too: there is no hidden agenda to discredit reform groups — it’s all done out in the open

Mr. MMJ Search Agent needs to define ‘USER’ for starters. If ‘USERS’ are legit MMJ patients needing help with “searching online for medical marijuana or dispensaries” that sounds innocent enough? But I’m no mouthpiece and wouldn’t care to guess how the feds would look at it? If I were a betting man I’d say like dogs in need of a bone?

This is commonplace now in California. There have sprung up different link farms for Medical Cannabis mainly seeking to scam despinsary owners out of money.

The largest is http://www.sanfranciscocannabisclubs.com/ which comes to the top for many Google searches. They charge club owners up to $400 for a listing, preying on the owners’ technological ignorance of internet advertising.

Forgive this old reformer for seeming paranoid, but this smells of ‘scam’.

A few years back, cops were trolling chat rooms looking for easy collars of pedophiles, and showed up at DrugSenseChat. They must have believed their own propaganda about how everyone who wants drug law reform being a closet perv. Who knows what this “Senior Medical Marijuana Search Agent” really was.

The only good thing about drug prohibition is that it has taught good people to be on their toes about this kind of crap. Sad that it happens at all, though…

Scott — I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of link farm operation. They have a site at dr.com where they try to be the site where search engines will go for any kind of medical question, with subcategories of all kinds. Probably they really want us to link to them as part of the “relationship.” They’ll stick us in a list of links under the heading “places to get medical marijuana online.” But that’s just a guess.
