DdC, I'm not telling you how to write your posts, let alone trying to "censor" you. I'm just saying the people here are having intelligent discourse about a serious topic, and in every thread there's a few posts by you contributing nothing but cut-and-pasted quotes.

I don't think you're dumb. I think we all share the same philosophy with respect to the fascism of drug prohibition. I just think you're horrendously lazy. It's far easier to cut and paste things that other people have said than to formulate your own ideas. Even worse, you seem to think that your cutting and pasting gives your posts an aura of infallibility since you are providing cites rather than just talking out of your ass. Of course that presents a false choice. One can write their own thoughts and provide cites to data where required. But what you do is just laziness. If you lost the ability to cut and paste, you'd be totally silenced.

But by all means, keep on cutting and pasting. If so much as one person is impressed by your litanies of randomly selected quotes, quips, and quibbles, more power to you. But I'd be much more interested in hearing what YOU have to say, and not what you can cut and paste. Anyone can do that. It's pure laziness.

Everyone who is passionate about an issue has a big list of relevant quotes in a text file kept on their computer. Every pro-lifer has a big list of anti-abortion quotes, every pro-choicer has a big list of pro-choice quotes. Everyone against taxes has a big list of anti-tax quotes. It's one thing to use one or two of those quotes when doing so is highly relevant to a particular topic. But to do nothing but cut and paste a dozen or so quotes from your "big list o' quotes" and call that substantive discourse is the pinnacle of laziness.

Imagine what grade a teacher would give to a student who turned in a book report that consisted of nothing more than a big list of cut-and-pasted quotes. Yeah, okay, nowadays with the way our educational system is the kid would probably get a solid B, and half the class wouldn't have even bothered to turn in anything. But when I went to school, a student who turned in a list of quotes would have received a big fat "F" along with a note to his/her parents.

<I>DdC: do you ever bla bla bla of your own</I>

Obviously none you can put together into actual comprehension brucem. All the links show how Marc was politically removed by the same fascist methods and the same fascist cockeaters as before. Over your head? So why do you continue to ask irrelevant diversions and just say what the fuck it is you don't understand... and I'll either try to assist or tell you to bite me. Its absolutly none of your business how I choose to construct my posts and very ignorant even suggesting any type of censorship or style you deem fit. Who are you, Mr Internet? Seems I can watch Fox and get your thoughts, parrots don't impress me. If you ever do get an original anything, be sure to pass it on yabetcha. Now I have to say Pete, this guy sounds pretty hostile to me. Better pat him down for weapons and badges. Loose tea residue in his pockets.

Don't ever tell anyone what to do sonny. It tain't polite. I don't tell you to stop mimicking glum bluck and oreally, i just show you they are monkey's hurling feces. Out screeching the timid meek citizens in need of health care but stepping on the $100,000.00 an hour salaries of the AIGing fascists. Those citizens not bowing down to the moneyslut's and rented teabogs are the ones put in cages for homegrown remedies. You somehow believe the same drug war brokers are going to see the light because you may have? They already know the score, thats why the Ganjawar exists and perpetuates and it ain't supposed to end. again you seem to not understand the same things, why don't you write it down. And the thousands of paragraphs I've written on this forum alone, the ones you seem to either lie about not being here or are just to dumb to find. Tough one.

Henry Ford originally made his cars to run on ethanol, so farmers could create their own fuel. (He saw farmers really as his customers originally, since nearly all of us were farmers. Along comes John D. Rockefeller, who wants people to use oil. He provides money to the anti-alcohol movement in order to make Prohibition a reality, and stop the ethanol fuel industry and promote the use of fossil fuels.

DdC: do you ever have any thoughts of your own, or can you do nothing more than string together lists of quotes said by other people? Every post you ever make here is a list of half a dozen or so quotes with links to the source of the quote. Citing sources is great and all, but citation is a means to an end, not substantive discourse.

EZ, I think of it as evolutionary pressure overriding idiotic dogma. Or, to put it simply, a culture has the ethics it can afford.

A culture that can't afford social engineering because the vast police state it requires is too expensive for it to maintain will always be forced to 'drop back and punt' to something more sustainable. That's what happened with alcohol Prohibition in the Great Depression and I believe that is what will happen in the Great<i><b>er</b></i> Depression we may be sliding inexorably into.

in any event, just as predicted 10 years ago, The (not so) Great American DrugWar is getting too expensive, and we are now hearing this in the MSM. It's taken 10 years and who-knows-how many billions of dollars wasted and innocent lives destroyed during this time. But the realization is finally seeping into the public consciousness from the blogopshere. IMHO, It's a race to see what happens first: cannabis legalization <i>before</i> financial collapse...or <i>after</i> it.

While it may be a bit premature, the Mexican Decrim came and went and nothing really noticable happened. I checked and there are no cracks around the edge of the sky, it's still up there. The graves in the cemetaries seem untouched, none have risen. There hasn't been a rampant wave of violence over it. Nada. Zip.

What I HAVE seen is guys on bicycles, smoking joints or sitting, waiting for a bus, burning one while they wait. It's all out in the open and I've seen NO LE actions in regard to it.

While Mexico may be considered a "failed state" by some, it's also the most progressive on the NA continent! I congratulate Pres. Calderon and the Congresso for a bill that shows signs of working right. It's not perfect but it's much better than "yesterday."

And should anyone think I am daft for even mentioning this, I would like to call attention to the adoption of American policing techniques (including hair-trigger usage of tasers, with the now-familiar death of those 'tased') by Canadian police, <a href="http://www.alberni.ca/forums/archive/index.php/t-1488.html" rel="nofollow">up to and including the operation of American police on Canadian soil, training Canadian police to engage Canadian motorists in typical intimidating American LE fashion, to include unlawful searches</a>.

If you are curious, I offer <a href="http://mostlywater.org/future_north_america_vancouver_2010_coronation_north_american_community" rel="nofollow">"Future of North America: Vancouver 2010, Coronation of the North American "Community"</a> , an article that goes into this in more detail. I fervently hope that both Americans and our Canadian neighbors will think very carefully about the contents of that article.
